Intro to Dog Training & Psychology
Are you interested in learning more about why dogs behave the way they do and how we can help them become better behaved? Whether you want to train your own dog, volunteer with dogs, or work professionally with dogs, this course will give you a solid introduction to Canine Psychology and the modern principles of dog training. We’ll dive into understanding dogs, teaching them how to follow basic obedience commands and utilizing behavior modification to resolve problem behaviors ranging from simple manners issues to more complex problems like fear and aggression. (Bringing a dog will not be allowed for the in-person sessions).

Erin Kramer is certified in Companion Animal Applied Behavior from the University of Washington, teaches at 3 dog trainer’s academies, is professionally certified as a dog trainer, and has been working as a dog behavior consultant for the past 15 years as the owner and lead trainer of Tug Dogs. Erin has extensive experience in the dog training industry ranging from training dogs for TV/film, working as a consultant for law enforcement canine teams, certifying service and therapy dogs, and serving as a canine behavior expert in legal cases. |
