On Monday, October 31, Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo Campus will hold two events geared toward students considering enrolling in college or transferring to a four-year university. University Transfer Day will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Associated Student Center (building 5400); later in the evening, College Night will host hundreds of high school students and their parents from 5:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. in the Associated Student Center and other campus locations.

University Transfer Day is the college’s annual one-stop-shop for Cuesta College students looking to transfer. Students will have the opportunity to meet with university representatives from more than 40 institutions, such as Cal Poly, UC Berkley, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, CSU Channel Islands, CSU Northridge and many others, including independent and out of state colleges. Music and lunch will be provided.

College Night invites local high school students and their parents to meet with representatives of nearly 70 colleges and universities from across the nation in building 5400. For a list of college’s attending the event click here. Cuesta College staff will also be on hand to discuss and answer questions about the Cuesta Promise (the scholarship program offering all newly graduated SLO County high school students a fee-free fall and spring semester), as well as provide information on academic programs, student services, and athletics. In buildings 6300 and 7300, workshops will be given in both English and Spanish on topics such as admissions essays, financial aid, and the Dream Act. Attendees can also learn about Cuesta College’s Career and Technical Education programs outside the 3100 building. Parking is free. College Night is co-hosted by Cuesta College, and coordinated by the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education and the Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County. The event is sponsored by the Harold J. Miossi Trust.
